Initial Nutrition and Wellness Assessment

Been there, done that, with all the diet regimens, weight loss fads and beach body promises? Then you realize that trying to get fit and lose weight in a short amount of time is, well…short-lived.  We’ll work together to implement a nutrition and exercise strategy that works for real life…yours.   

During your Initial Nutrition & Wellness Assessment we’ll review and discuss:

  • Motivation(s) to pursue nutrition and wellness counseling
  • Health history
  • Lifestyle indicators (sleep, physical activity, etc)
  • 5-day food diary
  • Relevant educational materials
  • Wellness vision and long-term goals
  • 1 to 2 short-term goals to focus on until our first progress session

+ Complete Nutrition Profile and Analysis

It’s go time. You’re ready to commit for the long haul and are totally motivated to transform your wellness habits once and for all.  Add-on my Complete Nutrition Profile and Analysis to your Initial Nutrition and Wellness Assessment for an in-depth report analyzing your intake from your 5-day food diary. We’ll drill down to the nuts and bolts of your nutrition so that we can develop optimal goals for you.

The analysis includes:

  • Estimated calorie intake and energy expenditure needed to maintain/lose/gain weight, depending on your goals.
  • Average daily nutrient intake levels (carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins and minerals) and percentage met based on your personal targets.
  • Main food contributors for intake of calories and highlighted nutrients of concern

 

+ Nutrition and Wellness Follow-up Session

After your Initial Nutrition and Wellness Assessment you’ll have the option to schedule additional follow-up sessions to stay on track. These progress sessions are a way to continually build on your successes so that you can learn a maintainable, practical lifestyle of enjoyable eating and energizing physical activity. Depending on your wellness vision and goals, we may cover such topics as:
