A Meaningful Thanksgiving
Today I have three small actions you can take to make this a meaningful Thanksgiving for yourself and those around you.
- When someone offers you a compliment, don’t deflect it but instead tell the person how much you appreciate their kindness.
- Make a point of spending time with one relative that you don’t usually sit and chat with, such as a teenage niece or elderly uncle.
- A few days after Thanksgiving, send an email to the hosts thanking them for all their efforts in making the day special. If you are the host, send a note to someone who went out of the way to help you that day.
